THE SHIPPING CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. (A Government of India Enterprise) FLEET PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT-Applications are invited from Unmarried Male and Female Graduates In Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture for Recruitment as TRAINEE MARINE ENGINEER
Qualification:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture from AICTE Approved Engineering college. Equivalent degree or degree with specialization or electives are not acceptable. Final year / semester students who appeared in the exam and expect their results by 31.07.2012 may also apply. Candidates must be in possession of valid degree in Engineering certificate with minimum 50% marks in final year of Engineering at the time of interview (tentatively around 13th Aug.2012) and should have secured at least 50% marks in English language at Xth or XIIth class.
About the Written examination:
The written examination shall be of two (02) hours duration, which will be in the form of multiple choice questions (MCQs). Written examination will focus on MCQ’s on Quantitative Aptitude test, Professional Knowledge test, English Language test and Reasoning Ability test. The questions of the test will be bilingual (English and Hindi).Candidate MUST PASS in each of the objective tests to qualify for personnel interview. The passing Marks in each test will be decided on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates in each test.
Application Fees:
Rs.1000/- for General (UR) & OBC candidate’s and Rs.500/- for SC & ST candidate’s . Before filling online application form, candidates should deposit application fees in the State Bank of India, The Shipping Corporation of India ltd. Mumbai’s below bank account and obtain TRANSACTION NUMBER OF DEPOSIT FROM RESPECTIVE BANK immediately after fees deposited as it is MANDATORY for filling online application.(All Banks provide transaction number if requested to provide them.)
How To Apply:
a. Eligible candidates have to apply only through the online application system of The Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd. It is mandatory that the candidates should have a valid e-mail id and mobile number while applying through the online application system in order to facilitate faster communication henceforth. As all communications and correspondence will be through emails only.
