1."IndianOil Merit Scholarships Scheme" for 10+/ITI studies
2000 Scholarships are being offered for 10+/ITI studies. The equitable distribution of scholarships may be State-wise, based on "Number of students appeared for 10th Standard during 2011-12".
2. "IndianOil Scholarships Scheme" for Graduate and Post-Graduate students
600 scholarships are being offered for professional courses (Engineering-300 Nos., MBBS-200 Nos. & MBA-100 Nos.). The distribution of scholarships may be Zone-wise based on "Number of students appeared for 12th Standard during 2011-12" and may be equitably distributed in the four zones viz. North, South, East & West.
ELIGIBILITY: Students pursuing full time/regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) in these streams & studying in Schools / Colleges / Institutions / Universities recognized by MCI / AICTE / State Education Boards / State Govt. / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Central Govt. / Association of Indian universities, shall be eligible to apply. The student should have bonafide admission in the 1st year of School/College/Institute/

Students having confirmed admission in the first year of full time
Engineering degree course (minimum 4 years), MBBS (minimum 4 years), MBA
(minimum 2 years) are eligible to apply. Students of two years full
time/regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) post graduate
courses in Business Administration/Management recognized by
Central/State Govt./Association of Indian universities and which are
equivalent to MBA, are eligible for Management stream scholarship. For
10+/ITI stream (minimum 2 years), students of 11th standard as well as
those in the 1st year of 2 years ITI course are eligible to apply. In
case of graduates, the average percentage of total marks of all the
academic years of graduation shall be treated as marks obtained by the
candidate. Similarly in case of 10th/12th, if percentage of marks
obtained is not mentioned by Board/University, percentage of marks
obtained shall be calculated on total aggregate marks. Minimum
eligibility percentage of marks for various categories will be as
indicated above.
Gross Joint income of the family of the candidate from all sources (during financial year 2011-12) should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) per annum. However, preference will be given to the students whose family income (gross joint income from all sources in 2011-12) is Rs. 60,000/- (Rs. Sixty thousand only) or less. Income certificate should be issued by Competent Revenue Authorities only. Any Affidavit for Income Proof will not be accepted. The marks obtained in the qualifying examination making the students eligible to seek admission in the respective first year of these courses will be considered for selection. Normalization of marks for all courses shall be done by using percentile method so as to rationalize the variation of marks provided by different Boards and Universities/Institutions. Criterion for selection will be merit and family's income. Wards of the employees of IOCL, its Joint Venture and Subsidiary companies and Consultant managing the Scheme (presently M/s ACE Consultants) are not eligible to apply.
