There is lot of confusion of students of whether to choose MBA or PGDM. I am sure following points will help in solving the queries:

Affiliation

Only universities in India offer MBA as a degree course. Institutes that are not affiliated to university are autonomous and can offer PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) degree. But both the courses have equal value.

Curriculum

MBA focuses more on theoretical aspects of management and little lesser on application part while PGDM is more industry oriented. But again both the courses prepare you for practical experience.

Flexibility

PGDM being an autonomous institute does not have to follow university standards; it is free to change its curriculum. As MBA is affiliated with a university, changing the curriculum is a very slow process.

Value for money

As compared to PGDM, MBAs are more affordable as the fees are almost similar to university standard.
